I tested using the pop-up flash light on D70 to trigger the SB600 remotely. It works very well. SB600 has almost 95% of SB800's feature. The only meaningful thing it doesn't have is the "dome" that could diffuse the light. Yes, SB600 can be used as a commander unit. The light was extraordinary, natural without any hint of on camera flash. Does anyone know if the SB600 can be used as a commander unit?
